County puts three girls on 1-A/2-A all state list

Three Fremont County girls have been voted Class 2-A all-state for their play during the basketball season.

Wyoming Indian is represented by Jasmine McGill and Loveeda White.

Olivia Thompson made it from Shoshoni.

Rachelle Lynch put St. Stephen's on the Class 1-A all-state team.

All-state

Thompson and White finished as two of the top scorers from the Class 2-A Southwest conference.

Thompson averaged 16.1 points per game, No. 2 in the league.

White was third in scoring at 15.1 points per game.

Thompson was No. 1 in rebounding at 13 per game.

McGill averaged 8.2 points per game.

Lynch finished as the top scorer in the Class 1-A West with a 16 points per game average.

Conference awards

A number of county players collected all-conference awards from the Class 2-A West.

Wind River players on the list are Tory Thoman, Josee Vogel and Alexa Wagon.

Shaylee Lonedog, McGill and White made it from WIHS.

Thompson and Annika Deckert from Shoshoni rounded out the team.

Wyoming Indian and St. Stephen's both qualified for the state tournament earlier this month in Casper.

WIHS placed third at the Class 2-A state field. St. Stephen's went 1-2 in the three-day tournament.
