Mar 21, 2014 - By Alejandra Silva, Staff WriterThe public is encouraged to attend a meeting next week to see a preliminary sketch of Riverton's new K-3 elementary school.
The Fremont County School District 25 Board of Trustees will get its first look at the early draft of the facility design Tuesday.
The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the District 25 administration building, 121 N. Fifth St. W. The meeting is open to the public.
"It will be a general, footprint drawing of the building," district superintendent Terry Snyder said. "We're still very early in the process."
He added that representatives from Sandstrom Architecture will be in attendance to talk about classroom configurations and other background information.
The company also has presented a schedule outlining the time it will take to complete the school.
The basic design of the new school will be a duplicate of a school in Pinedale also built by Sandstrom. Mirroring and existing plan will save substantial time and money in the construction of the Riverton school, which is set to be built on West Monroe Avenue.
