Brenda Miska, formerly of Riverton, died Tuesday, March 25, 2014, surrounded by family. She was 47 years old.

Visitation will be noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Services in Salem, Ore. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 31, at Salem First Church of the Nazarene in Salem, Ore. Burial will follow at Cloverdale Cemetery in Turner, Ore.

Brenda Miska was born Feb. 6, 1967, in Wyoming, the daughter of Robert W. and Rita Miska (White).

After high school she traveled and worked in North Dakota, Colorado and California, eventually making her lifelong home with her family in Salem, Ore., in 1992.

She worked as an agent in the insurance industry for 20 years and as a public service representative for the State of Oregon for five years.

Her family said she loved Oregon and always felt blessed to live and raise her family in the valley. They said she also loved to travel and enjoyed bible studies, conferences, concerts, simple road trips and outings with her girlfriends. She also loved spending time with her family and friends, and she especially cherished her children.

She is survived by the love of her life and father of her children, Lynn Landsiedel, of Salem, Ore.; children Ryan Landsiedel and Michelle Mespelt and her husband Aaron of Salem, Ore.; grandson Trent Mespelt of Salem, Ore.; mother Rita White; brothers Elliott Miska and his wife Barbara, Carl White and Brian White and his wife Tonya; and nieces and nephews Robert E. Miska and his wife Shelly, Jorden White, Sienna White, Christopher White, Hailey Miska and Kade Miska, all of Riverton.

She was preceded in death by her great-nephew, Robert Elias Miska Jr.; father Robert W. Miska; and stepfather Carroll Duane White.
