Reed T. Paulsen of Riverton died Sunday, March 30, 2014. He was 21 years old.

A visitation of family and friends is from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 3, at Davis Funeral Home in Riverton. A candlelight ceremony at Sunset Park.

will follow the visitation.

A funeral service begins at 10 a.m. Friday, April 4, in the Fremont Center at the Fremont County Fairgrounds. The Rev. Ray Price will officiate. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Reed Thomas Paulsen was born in Riverton on Jan. 4, 1993, to Thomas Lyle and Cynthia Sue (Olson) Paulsen.

He was a lifelong resident of Riverton.

He attended schools in Riverton, earning his GED.

He worked at Riverton Pizza Hut as a cook and waiter, having worked for previously for Safeway as the deli manager. Recently he was in the process of completing certification to work at Great Lakes Airlines.

His family said he enjoyed socializing, hanging out with friends, liked to travel, shop, cook, and golf.

He is described as a good friend, a good listener, someone who genuinely cared about other people, loved animals, especially dogs, and someone who loved his family.

He is survived by his parents, Cindy Olson and Tom and Kristin Paulsen, all of Riverton; his brothers, T.J. Paulsen of Riverton and Breck Umscheid of Albany, Ore; his sisters, Cassie Paulsen of Riverton and Britney Landis of Riverton; his grandfather, Alvin "Sparky" Olson of Riverton; his grandparents, Lyle and Mary Margaret Paulsen of Riverton, and Richard and Shannon Hall of Riverton; his uncles, Steve (Kara) Olson of Merrimack, N.H. and Richard (Errin) Hall of Delta, Colo; his aunt, Becky (Bob) Emerson of Riverton; his cousins, Alexander Olson, Lauren Olson, Nadia Hall, Cristian Hall, Britt (Rustin) Roth and Chase Emerson; and numerous extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Patricia "Patty" Ann Olson and his aunt, Peggy Paulsen.
