The Riverton City Council has approved replatting of property consisting of approximately 9.77 acres located on Valley View Road on the east side of the Valley View Subdivision, west of Airport Road. T
The council approved the replat of Lot 1 Schaub Subdivision. Petitioner Gregg Schaub requested the replatting of the lot to create two lots instead.
The council also voted in favor of replatting two lots into one, north of Sunset Drive to the East of Major Avenue and east of the Mobile Park Home. MCM Land and Development LLC is the petitioner who plans to develop the land and create housing. Community development director Sandy Luers said the plan is to build 15 units of housing in fourplex and triplex building structures.
A utility and drainage easement on the south end of the property from the gas line easement to Sunset Avenue was requested from the city's planning commission in order to facilitate access to the drain ditch. Cleaning is already required for the existing 30-foot easement along the boundary on the east side of the replat, and the addition would be needed if the drain is kept open.
The lot also was approved for residential zoning as opposed to the separate residential and commerical zoning.
The city council also received training Roberts Rules of Order that was adopted by the city to help run meetings and conferences in the proper "parliamentary procedure."
Directing the training was John Wood from the Information Technology Department at Central Wyoming College.
