The land of the Wind River Indian Reservation has been the "Shoshone homeland" since time immemorial? The tribal leader who said that in The Ranger front-page either doesn't know what he is talking about or is deliberately trying to mislead people who don't know any better. This is all a blatant attempt to gain control of Riverton, which was removed legally from the reservation more than a hundred years ago. It is as plain as day.
As for "time immemorial," that covers a long time. Claiming that the land always was the Shoshones' is simply not true. They can't just make this stuff up and expect everyone to just say "OK" and hand over the keys to the city.
