Apr 14, 2014 - Chuck and Muriel Chidsey, LanderEditor:
I write on behalf of the small but enthusiastic group of patrons of Lander Met Opera who feel as I do that we and this community owe a debt of gratitude to Marvin Brown for his efforts in helping to get these presentations of HDTV performances from the Metropolitan Opera in New York City in our Lander library.
His multifaceted talents were indispensable in managing to get this cultural treasure in Fremont County, and we owe him a big thank-you.
His initial imagination and knowledge made the venture a reality.
His help in getting the Lander Community Concert Association, a group with which he has long been associated, to be the sponsor of Lander Met Opera was essential to our effort from the beginning.
Now that we are nearing the completion of our fourth season of performances of opera in Fremont County, we want to let the community know the all-important role that Marvin Brown played in this project.
Thanks, Marvin, for everything you have done.
