Apr 30, 2014 - By Kelli Ameling, Staff WriterThe Fremont County Museums Board is advertising for new positions at its three locations.
According to countywide museums director Scott Goetz, each museum in Lander, Riverton and Dubois will have two full-time positions --the curator/assistant site director and the new visitor services coordinator.
According to Goetz, there are two people in place for the curator positions and a third will start Thursday.
"I think it is important to have a position that can help consistently engage the public through outreach programs, speaker programs, trunk shows, activities, event, etc.," Goetz said. "It brings more depth to the program of work and will help make the museums more interactive for visitors."
As part of the new visitor services coordinator position, job duties will include customer service, managing retail areas, answering questions, promoting the museums system, assisting the curator in collections management, helping develop comprehensive volunteer programs, helping produce a newsletter and promoting a positive image.
