Team dance competition set for Saturday

The public is invited to celebrate Native American Day by attending a team dance competition Saturday at the Wind River Hotel and Casino.

The event is free to attend and begins at 2 p.m. in the entertainment room.

American Indian dancers of all ages and tribes will compete in special dance categories, including fancy team, hat and switch. More than $10,000 will be awarded to dancers who place in their category. Registration began Thursday, and the entry fee is $10.

Teams must include four dancers and can have different combinations of men, women and children. Dancers must be at least 12 years old.
