McNAIR

A daughter was born to Anne and Tye McNair, of Lander, at 10:30 p.m. March 16, 2012, at Lander Regional Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 1.9 ounces.

MEDOW

A daughter was born to Crystal Ellsworth and Nathan Medow, of Riverton, at 11:36 p.m. Feb. 23, 2012, at Lander Regional Hospital. She weighed 5 pounds, 9 ounces.

MILLER

A daughter was born to Candy and Adam Miller, of Riverton, at 8:47 p.m. March 29, 2012, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. She weighed 6 pounds, 3 ounces

Deaths

PARKER

Clarence "Leonard" Parker, 82, died Sunday, April 15, at his home in Riverton. Cremation has taken place, and there will be no services. Memorials may be made to the Tough Enough Cancer Fund. Online condolences may be made at www.theDavisFuneralHome.com.

APRIL 21

Ranch Roping is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Central Wyoming College Equine Center, Riverton. The Ranch Roping clinic provides intermediate riders an introduction to low-stress cattle handling practices. Don Harrington teaches a variety of skills for the purpose of doctoring, calving, branding and more. Participants are asked to bring their horses (and rope). Class is $100. Teen Earth Day Project is at 10 a.m. at the Lander Library Canteen at the Lander Library, 200 Amoretti St. All teens grades 7-12 are invited to participate in an Earth Day project making bird feeders from recyclables.

Wyoming's Jr. Royal Miss Scholarship Pageant is at 10 a.m. at the Holiday Inn Riverton Convention Center, 900 E. Sunset Drive, Riverton. This natural pageant system is for girls age 0 to 15. Areas of competition include interview, casual wear, talent and evening wear. Join us for the NW Wyoming's Regional Pageant, and then on to the State Finals in June 2012. Cost to enter is $65. Admission for guests is $5.

Little Squirts Saturdays is 10:15 a.m. to 11 a.m. the third Saturday of each month, from January to May, at the Lander Art Center, 224 Main St., Lander, WY 82520. This is a series of classes for children ages 18 months through 5 years old. Three years old and younger must have a caregiver present. Classes will experience art, movement and storytelling in a fun atmosphere. Cost is $10 per class or $45 five class punch card. For more information, visit www.landerartcenter.com.

Pesticide User School is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Fremont County Extension Office, 814 S. Federal Blvd. No. 100, Riverton. Farmers, ranchers or anyone else who is interested in getting certified as a Private Pesticide applicator can plan on attending one of the spring/summer pesticide user schools for 2012. Class is free.

Real Estate in Today's Market is at 6 p.m. in the Little Theater at the Lander Library, 200 Amoretti St. Sara Down from Cowboy State Realty will weigh the benefits of renting versus buying and discuss how to stage a home for a successful sale.

APRIL 24

Thinking About Wills and Trusts is at 1 p.m. April 24 in the Little Theater at the Lander Library, 200 Amoretti St. Perry Marple, PC, presents the realities of probate, the pros and cons of trusts and other avenues for leaving assets to children.

Emergency calls

In Riverton police reports from Thursday to Friday morning:

- Loretta SunRhodes, 32, of Arapahoe, was arrested for failure to appear. The arrest occurred at 5:47 p.m. on Thursday in the 900 block of Webbwood Road.

In Fremont County Sheriff's reports from Thursday to Friday morning:

- There were no arrests made.

- During the same time period, ambulance crews responded to 12 calls for assistance and firefighters responded to two calls.
