Francesca L. TetonApr 20, 2012 - Staff Francesca L. Teton, 28, of Fort Washakie, died Monday, April 16, 2012, at the Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at Rocky Mountain Hall in Fort Washakie. Arlen Shoyo and Harrison "Bunny" Shoyo Jr. officiate. Interment is in the Sacajawea Cemetery at Fort Washakie. A wake begins at 7 p.m. Friday, April 20, at Rocky Mountain Hall. Francesca Lee Teton was born Sept. 14, 1983, in Lander the daughter of Augustine and Deleece (Pogoree) Teton. She was a member of the Shoshone Tribe who attended school at Fort Washakie and Chemawa Indian School in Salem, Ore. She was baptized in the Episcopalian faith. Ms. Teton was a homemaker. Her family said she enjoyed her home life and being with her children, family, and friends. She is survived by her companion, George Thomas Brown; son Monnie Kane Jenkins Teton; daughters Nyra Jenkins and Tyra Jenkins; parents Deleece Teton, Augustine Teton and his companion Joline; sisters Jessica Teton and Jan Pogoree; nephews Boyd Surrell, Nathan Surrell, Wendell Surrell and Darrell Teton; nieces Dalene Pogoree, Sinead Pogoree and Jevon Antelope; Arlene Pogoree and family, the Nipwater family, Zedor Enos and family, and Vivian Armajo and family. She was preceded in death by a son, Ryan Lee Brown Teton; a sister, Corina Sorrell; nephew Ethan Surrell; brother-in-law Arvin Surrell; grandparents Charlie and Alvina Teton, Wilford Woodsie Wagon and Thomas Wetchie; uncles Wayland Wetchie, Avery Perry and numerous nieces and nephews.
