Ethete man arrested after fight, said he saw devil

May 16, 2014 - By Katie Roenigk, Staff Writer

Police were dispatched just before 10 p.m. Saturday to reports that several men were fighting in a parking lot in the 3000 block of College Hill Drive. Officials said everyone involved was related, but Rysen TallWhiteMan, 22, of Ethete, was the aggressor.

"He would not calm down, so he was placed in handcuffs for the time being," Riverton Police Department Capt. Eric Murphy said.

Officers contacted the other two people involved in the fight, who said TallWhiteMan had come into their apartment drunk and possibly high on methamphetamines and started "freaking out and seeing the devil."

"They had small children in the residence, so they forced him out of the apartment," Murphy said.

Next, TallWhiteMan reportedly started hitting the windows of one of his relatives' vehicles.

"(The relative) was worried he was going to break them, so he went down to the parking lot to stop him," Murphy said.

TallWhiteMan was arrested and brought to the RPD, where he reportedly complained about his nose being broken and stated that "the evil witch was smiling at him." Emergency medical responders examined him and said he was physically fine, so he was taken to jail.
