The competition for the Riverton Raiders should pick up this weekend at the Roy Peck Wood Bat baseball tournament.
Riverton entertains Douglas, Green River and Rock Springs in the two-day tournament.
Rawlins pulled out of the tournament earlier this week, but Rock Springs agreed to fill in.
All games will be played at Roy Peck field.
The Raiders play at 3:30 p.m. Saturday vs. Douglas.
Riverton has an 8 p.m. contest vs. Rock Springs to end the first day.
Riverton faces Green River on 10:45 a.m. Sunday.
The top two teams from the first-round games play in the title game at 4:15 p.m. Sunday.
The third-place game is set for 1:30 p.m.
Riverton is 5-4 on the season. The Raiders captured four straight victories to start the first homestand of the season at Roy Peck field.
Riverton swept the Lovell Mustangs in a doubleheader and did the same to the Rawlins Generals.
Green River started the week with a 8-8 record.
Rock Springs is 7-6 on the year.
Green River, Rock Springs and Riverton are all in the American Legion baseball Southwest conference.
The games at the Roy Peck tournament won't count in the conference standings.
Riverton hosts Rock Springs in a conference doubleheader on Wednesday night.
