CHEYENNE -- People who live near a Cheyenne oil refinery are upset after the facility released an ash-like powder that they say clouded the air and settled on their property.
The powder was released from the HollyFrontier refinery Friday.
Refinery officials said the powder can be an irritant but can be swept up and discarded safely.
Man killed in horse accident
JACKSON -- Authorities say a 52-year-old man was killed when he was bucked off his horse near his home north of Jackson.
Teton County Sheriff Jim Whalen said a search was launched after the horse came home without its owner, Bob Knori, on Saturday. Search crews found Knori on a levee near his home. He was flown to a hospital in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he was pronounced dead.
Officer to be buried in Afton
SALT LAKE CITY -- The body of a Las Vegas police officer who was shot to death has been returned to his home state of Wyoming for burial.
The body of 41-year-old Alyn Beck arrived at Salt Lake City International Airport Sunday in a coffin draped in the American flag.
