Krassin, a Casper College standout from Lander, is second in the steer wrestling standings after posting three times.
He was clocked in 4.5 seconds, 9.3 and 8.5 seconds.
Jarrett New from Texas A&M University is first in the standings (7.3, 4.9, and 6.8).
The CNFR continues Wednesday through Friday with nightly performances.
Action starts at 7 p.m.
All CNFR participates perform three times apiece in preliminary competition.
The championship finals are scheduled for Saturday night.
The finals are made up of the top 12 in each event.
Central Wyoming College's Kaylee Burnett is currently 10th in the barrel racing competition.
Burnett finished with a time of 19.52 on Monday morning during a slack performance ride.
She followed the ride up Tuesday posting a time of 14.82.
Burnett had a quick turnaround Tuesday night going 14.60 seconds.
In goat tying, Burnett is 16th with one performance left.
Her first two times have been identical at 6.7 seconds.
Burnett's third go is Thursday night.
Spratt at CNFR
Gillette College's Coralee Spratt from Shoshoni rounds out the Fremont County athletes this week at the CNFR.
Fresh off winning the regional title in breakaway roping, Spratt put together a time of 4.0 seconds in the first go, but had no time in the second.
