The Washakie Ranger District of the Shoshone National Forest is planning to burn piles next week as weather conditions allow.
The piles to be burned are located past Sheep Bridge near the Popo Agie Wilderness boundary. If weather allows, these piles will be burned between Monday and June 30. Smoke from these burns may be visible in the area during these days.

Program funding apprentices
Scholarships for Wyoming residents participating in a registered apprenticeship program are available through the Wyoming Community Foundation's Lauren P. Miller Scholarship Fund.
The apprenticeship program must be registered with the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training. Although individuals of all trades will be considered, special attention will be given to the automotive and construction trades.
Applications must be submitted by July 1, and awards will be made by Sept. 1.
