Jun 27, 2014 - StaffRuth L. Schupp died Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Westward Heights Care Center in Lander. She was 98 years old.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 3, at Bethel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Fred Schroeder and the Rev. Mathew Andersen officiating.
Ruth Schupp was born Aug. 12, 1915, in Monon, Ind., the daughter of William C. and Edna (Dunlap) Carter.
As a child, her family said she lived at a soldier's home and knew many Civil War veterans.
In 1986, she moved from Colorado to Lander to be close to family.
She was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church.
Her family said she enjoyed working as a foster grandmother for many years. She also liked to create art and ceramics and enjoyed reading and traveling.
She is survived by her children, Carol "Sue" Andersen and her husband Harvey, Harold "Bud" Kuhn and his wife Sharon, David Kuhn and his wife Tanna, Stephen Kuhn and his wife Cheryl and Patricia McFadden; stepsons David and Dick Schupp; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Harold Kuhn Sr. and Manford Schupp; sister Ilo Kraft; and stepson Ron Schupp.
