Jul 1, 2014 - StaffRosella "Judy" Mitich died Friday, June 27, 2014, in Lander, surrounded by family. She was 92 years old.

Rosella Mitich was born in Lakeshore, Utah, and she grew up on a ranch outside of Lodgegrass, Mont.
She became a registered nurse after graduating from high school. She worked as a nurse in Sheridan, Newcastle and Casper, and then moved to Fremont County in 1959.
She continued her nursing career and worked at Bishop Randall Hospital in Lander, and then went to work for the Bureau of Indian Affairs at Fort Washakie and the Arapahoe clinics.
In 1944, she married Cliff Lucas in Sheridan, and they raised four children together.
After their divorce, she married Vernon "Gus" Gustin. Her family said they spent 32 years together enjoying each other's company while traveling and fishing. He died in 2000.
She married Alex Mitich in 2005, and he died in 2009.
Her family said she was a nurse to anyone who needed care. She also was a hard-working woman but found ways to make that fun. They said she was a great mom and a good friend to so many people, and she will be missed by all.
She is survived by her children, Tom (Tammy) Lucas, Jerry (Sharon) Lucas, Ernie (Lynne) Lucas and Rita (Ed) Hirdman, and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Lander or to an organization of the donor's choice.
