Dean Knight, 75, who made his home in Jeffrey City and Riverton several times over the past 35 years, died Saturday, April 21, in Great Falls, Mont., following a long illness. Services will be Thursday, Aug 9, in Hailey, Idaho. For more information, e-mail Julie Knight at email@example.com.
Funeral services for Edna M. Lamb, 88, of Riverton, are at 10 a.m. Friday, April 27, at the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton. Burial will be at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville. A viewing will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at the funeral home. Mrs. Lamb died Monday, April 23, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. William Romine, 87, of Lander, died Monday, April 23, at his home. Arrangements are pending through the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton.
Everything You Need to Know About Buying a Home is at 6 p.m. at the Riverton Branch Library, 1330 W. Park Ave. Olivia Prince of Wind River Realty will present "Everything you need to know about buying a home," a tutorial for everyone from first-time home buyers to third-time home buyers. Prince will offer tips and tricks to avoid the pitfalls of home buying.
Kindergarten Performances are at 2 p.m. at Aspen Park Elementary, 1620 E. Sunset Drive, Riverton.
Dessert, Dialogue and Debate is 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Little Theatre at Central Wyoming College. A student-led discussion on energy: the present and the future.
Be Confident-Be Prepared, Taxes 2012 is at 6 p.m. at the Riverton Branch Library, 1330 W. Park Ave. Dave Becker of Albright, Becker & Stoddard will present "Be Confident-Be Prepared, Taxes 2012," which will include learning how to get organized for next year's taxes. Becker will also be presenting "Family Finances and Budgeting," a useful budgeting and finance tools to help families get ahead.

Boysen State Park Public Meeting is 6 p.m. April 26 at the Shoshoni Fire Hall, 106 E. Second St., Shoshoni. During the meeting, members of the Division of State Parks will present how visitor use information is captured and rules and regulations for Boysen and other state parks will be discussed. Additionally, new developments at Boysen State Park will also be presented. For more information, call 876-2796.
Dubois' Young Authors Program is 6:30 p.m. at the Dubois Library Activity Room, 202 N. First St., Dubois. Janet Lee is the coordinator and refreshments will be provided by Dubois Friends of the Library. All parents and well-wishers are welcome.

In Riverton Police Department reports Tuesday to Wednesday morning:
- Eugene Ridgley, 50, of Ethete, was arrested on the 900 block of West Main Street for public intoxication and vagrancy. The arrest stemmed from a 1:48 p.m. report of a suspicious person.
- At 6:53 p.m., police responded to a report of stolen vehicle outside of Cedar Bar on East Fremont Avenue. According to a press release from Riverton Capt. C.T. Smith, a bar employee had left the key in the ignition and the doors unlocked. Officers located the red and black 1990 Ford Aerostar van unattended shortly after at the Maverik Store on South Federal Boulevard.
Based on witness descriptions of the thief, officers detained a man matching the description outside of the store.
"Upon further investigation it was determined that Samuel Friday (age 29) had been in the area of the Cedar Bar checking doors on vehicles," Smith said.
Friday reportedly attempted to take a motorcycle near the bar earlier but was stopped by the owner.
Friday, an Ethete resident, was arrested for felony larceny, attempted felony larceny and possession of a controlled substance, marijuana.
Subsequently, Silvia Friday, 31, of Riverton, and Nina Littleshield, 46, of St. Stephen's, were arrested for Riverton city warrants.
Smith said in a follow-up interview that both women were with Friday when he was detained but neither were charged in connection to the vehicle theft.
- Dominic Arthur, 43, of Arapahoe, was arrested for disturbing the peace on the 200 block of West Adams Avenue in connection to an 11:27 p.m. report.
In Fremont County Sheriff's Office reports Tuesday to Wednesday morning:
- Amanda Randall, 24, of Hudson, was arrested for child abuse and child endangering.
- County ambulance crews were called out 17 times during this timeframe. Firefighters responded to three calls for service.
