The way it was: State fair qualifiers -- 1958

Five Fremont County girls were headed tot he Wyoming State Fair after their 4-H exhibits earned blue ribbons at the local level 56 years ago this week at annual Demonstration Day competition.

Topics includes "Plaids Can Be Easy," "Farm Safety," "Mayonnaise Cake," Reupholstering a Chair Seat," and "Ice cream Pie."

Marie Kirkham of the Park County home extension unit in Cody was the contest judge at the Fremont County Fair Building, now called Heritage Hall.
