RAMIREZ-GONZALES

A son was born to Billie and Jennifer Ramirez-Gonzales, of Lander, at 9:56 p.m. April 9, 2012, at Lander Regional Hospital. He weighed 7 pounds, 5.8 ounces.

RICHARDSON

A daughter was born to Kimberly Richardson, of Riverton, and Steven Richardson, of Lander, at 4:13 p.m. Feb. 23, 2012, at Lander Regional Hospital. She weighed 4 pounds, 5.6 ounces.

Deaths

HOWER

Hanaleah G. Hower, 97, of Dubois, died Tuesday, May 1, at the Lander Regional Hospital. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Wilderness Baptist Church with burial following at the Dubois Cemetery. Viewing is at the church from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., preceding the service Saturday.

KERSHISNIK

Former Riverton resident Max Thomas Kershisnik, 74, died Monday, April 30, at his home in Winnebago, Ill. Funeral Mass is at 10 a.m. Friday, May 4, at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Loves Park, Ill. Burial will be at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 3, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL 61103. Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be established. Online condolences may be made at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.

A. Lorraine Vocu, 82, died Monday, April 30, at her home in Riverton. Graveside services and inurnment are at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton. There will be a luncheon at the Reach Club House at 12:30 p.m. before the graveside services. Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund. Online condolences may be made at www.theDavisFuneralHome.com.

MAY 2

Uranium Mill Tailings Radiation Control Act Site Public Meeting is at 6 p.m. at the Robert A. Peck Arts Center Theatre at Central Wyoming College. The U.S. Department of Energy Office of Legacy Management will discuss recent events and ongoing work at the Riverton Uranium Mill Tailings Radiation Control Act Site. The discussion will include an update on the current state of the groundwater remediation strategy, the alternative water supply system and health concerns associated with the site. The community open house will start at 6 p.m. and the presentations and panel discussion will begin at 7 p.m.

MAY 3

Fundraiser for LVHS Project Graduation is at Tony's Pizza, 637 Main St., Lander. Eat at Tony's Pizza on Thursday, May 3, and they will donate 10 percent of their proceeds to the Senior Project Graduation party. This is a great way to participate in fundraising for the all-night chemical-free senior celebration.

Bid Opening for 422 E. Main St. Demo is 1:30 p.m. at Riverton City Hall, 816 N. Federal Blvd., Riverton.

Help for Health Hospice Volunteer Training is 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Help for Health Hospice home, 1240 College View Drive, Riverton. Registration is not required, and dinner is provided.

Irish Banquet is 7 p.m. at the Lander Valley High School commons, 350 Baldwin Creek Road, Lander. The LVHS choir will perform. Tickets are available at the door or in advance from choir students and at the high school. For more information, call Jacob at 332-3640.

Spring Showcase Concert is 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Robert A. Peck Arts Center Theatre at Central Wyoming College, Riverton. The Music Department presents this free concert featuring the College Band and the Collegiate Chorale.

Emergency calls

In Riverton Police Department reports Tuesday to Wednesday morning:

- Stephanie Spoonhunter, 29, of Riverton, was arrested for municipal warrants.

- Kenneth Shakespeare, 26, of Arapahoe, was arrested for public intoxication, resisting arrest and a municipal warrant in 800 block of East Main Street.

- Marty Moore, 31, of Riverton, was arrested for public intoxication stemming from a 3:04 p.m. intoxication report on the 600 block of North Second Street West.

- Gary Jara, 42, of Riverton, was arrested for assault and battery (domestic violence.)

- Michael Holbert, 18, of Riverton, was arrested for interfering with a police officer.

In Fremont County Sheriff's Office reports Tuesday to Wednesday morning:

- Nicholas Hornecker, 24, of Lander, was arrested for failure to appear.

- Timothy Marrow, 25, of Riverton, was arrested for contempt of court.

- Bobbie Talksdifferent, 30, of Arapahoe, was arrested for probation revocation.

- Scott Woolsey, 23, of Riverton, was arrested for probation revocation.

- Lynn Tendore, 39, of Fort Washakie, was arrested for probation revocation.

- County ambulance crews were called out 21 times during this timeframe. Firefighters responded to four calls for service.
