May 4, 2012 - StaffA. Lorraine Vocu, 82, died Monday, April 30, 2012, at her home in Riverton.
Graveside services and inurnment are at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton with the Rev. Father Demetario officiating. There will be a luncheon at the Reach Club House at 12:30 p.m. before the graveside services. Cremation has taken place.
Agnes Lorraine Strube was born Nov. 6, 1929, in Kimball County, Neb., the daughter of Raymond Harold Strube and Viola Pearl (Ackerson) Strube. She graduated from Albin High School in 1947.
She was a homemaker, having married Robert Vocu Sr. on Aug. 20, 1950, in Kyle, S.D.
The family moved to Riverton from Mandian in 1966.
Mrs. Vocu was of the Catholic faith.
Her family said she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, going to the casino, travel and crafts, including crocheting and plastic canvas work.
Survivors include her son Robert Vocu Jr.; a daughter, Karen L. Dusel and her husband, Terry; grandchildren Heather Thorpe, Crystal Nochols and Tandi Vocu; great-grandchildren Andrew Thorpe and Gavin Gilkey; brothers Donald Strube and his wife Ellen and Richard Strube.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Viola Strube; her husband, Robert Vocu Sr. and granddaughter Tara Vocu.
Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund, in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 W. Main St., Riverton, WY 82501.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton.
