May 13, 2012 - StaffRiverton native Amanda J. (Lanier) Rodgers died at her home in Cheyenne on Tuesday, May 1, 2012. She was 38 years old.
Funeral services were Saturday, May 12, at Wiederspahn-Rad-omsky Chapel of the Chimes in Cheyenne. Chaplain Todd Wolf officiated. Interment followed at Beth El Cemetery in Cheyenne. Visitation preceded at the funeral home.
Amanda Joyce Lanier was born in Riverton to Frank and Elaine Lanier on June 15, 1973.
She married Dane Rodgers on July 11, 1992, and had their son, Cannon, on Aug. 19, 1994.
Her family said Mrs. Rodgers loved to work in her flower gardens, crotchet blankets, cook in her kitchen, play cards, read, and go camping and fishing in the mountains.
She was military wife who took care of her son, her household, and volunteered with the WY ARNG Family Support during her husband's deployments overseas.
Mrs. Rodgers is survived by her husband, son, grandmother, sister, aunts, and uncle.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father and grandfather.
