May 16, 2012 - By Christina George, Staff WriterThe Riverton man reported missing Friday has been found in another state.
Riverton police Capt. Eric Murphy said Michael James Hanway, 48, was located safe in South Dakota. He did not specify when Hanway was found.
As of Wednesday, Murphy said he was still trying to gather details about the incident.
Hanway was reported missing after he was last seen at about 1 p.m. May 11 at Main Street and Federal Boulevard.
Murphy said Hanway is epileptic, and there were
concerns he was in danger because he did not have his medication.
Riverton officers combed the city for Hanway last weekend.
When the man was not found by Monday, the agency asked the Fremont County Sheriff's Office for a search-and-rescue crew.
