Former Riverton resident Arline N. (Stoner) Addison, 79, died from lung cancer Saturday, May 12, at her home in Wheatland. Cremation has taken place and, as per her request, there will be no services. Condolences may be sent to the family at


Esther Brodrick Brumage, 93, died of natural causes Thursday, April 26, at the Powell Valley Care Center. She was the mother of the late Gary Brodrick, of Riverton.


John H. Federer III, 64, general contractor and longtime resident of the Lander area, died Sunday, May 13, at his home, after a short battle with cancer. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Friday, May 18, at Hudson's Funeral Home in Lander.


A memorial service for Donald E. Jacobs, 86, a longtime resident of Lander, is at 4 p.m. Friday, May 18, at the Chapel of Mount Hope, Hudson's Funeral Home in Lander, with a reception to follow at the Lander Elks Lodge. Mr. Jacobs died Saturday, Feb. 18, after a short stay at Morning Star Care Center in Fort Washakie. Memorials may be made to Amedisys Hospice of Riverton, 716 College View Drive, Ste. Lander native Claire (Cameron) Norsworthy, 76, of Walla Walla, Wash., died Thursday, April 19. A celebration of life service was Friday, April 27, at Chism Hall, Whitman College, in Walla Walla, Wash.

Help for Health Hospice Golf Scramble is at 1 p.m. at the Riverton Country Club, 4275 Country Club Drive, Riverton. The Shotgun Start is at 1 p.m., dinner and music begin at 6:30 p.m. Prizes include first place and hole prizes. Entry fee covers 18 holes, cart, dinner and live music. Emergency calls

In Riverton police reports from Wednesday to Thursday morning:

- At 12:39 p.m. on Wednesday, police arrested Mitchell Lavallie, 36, of Riverton, on a Montana felony warrant. The arrest happened in the 300 block of East Main Street.

- At 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday in the 800 block of East Main Street, police arrested James Antelope, 47, of Ethete, for public intoxication and a contempt of court warrant.

In Fremont County Sheriff's reports from Wednesday to Thursday morning:

- Melanie Venzor, 48, of Lander, was arrested on a warrant for two counts of forgery.

- During the same time period, ambulance crews were called out 15 times and firefighters were dispatched once.
