State track and field meet underway in Casper

Fremont County girls scored points on day one of the Wyoming state high school track and field meet Thursday in Casper. Above, Jillian C'Bearing of Riverton

placed sixth in the Class 4-A 3,200 meters. She's a favorite in the two short distance races. Finishing third in the Class 2-A girls 3200 was Olivia Thompson of

Shoshoni. Dubois senior Katherine Finley finished second in the Class 1-A girls pole vault, clearing 9 feet. The meet continues through Saturday.
