Riverton holds Hershey track meet

Anna Hutchison, Trysta Stingley and Keegan Rosas won three events apiece Thursday at the Riverton Hershey track and field meet at Wolverine Track.

In the girls 9-10-year-old division, Hutchison came up on top in the 50 meters (8.19 seconds), 100 meters (15.84) and in the long jump (5-5).

Stingley won her events in the 11-12 girls division in the 400 meters (1:32.7), 800 meters (3:38.0) and long jump (5-0).

Rosas finished first in the 100 meters (13.94), 200 meters (29.00) and long jump (7-3) in the boys 13-14 division.

The top two finishers in each event locked up spots for the state meet June 16 in Lander.

The Riverton meet had 31 participants competing in the 50 meters, 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters, 1,600 meters, softball throw and long jump.

Double winners

A number of Riverton athletes were crowned double winners in the meet.

In the girls 9-10 age group, Sydney Chatfield won the 200 meters (39.47) and the 400 meters (1:30.9).

Kyli Yorgeson placed first in the 100 meters (15.06) and the 200 meters (32.85) in the girls 13-14 age division. Charlene Brown claimed first in the same division in the 800 meters (2:49.9) and 1,600 meters (5:59.35).

Benjamin Weaver added a first in the 50 meters (8.65) and 100 meters (14.94) in the boys 9-10 age division. Joshua Wilcox took the 200 meters (36.72) and 400 meters (1:23.1).

In the boys 11-12 age division, Adam Weaver had the best time in the 100 meters (18.28) and 400 meters (1:16.16).

Xavier Hubbard finished first in the 800 meters (3:03.7) and 1,600 meters (5:58.8) in the 13-14 age bracket.
