CORRECTION

In Wednesday's Ranger, the page-one story "Fiddler on the Roof" should have said Riverton High School students and children are admitted free to all performances. Admission prices for the RHS spring musical were listed incorrectly.

Deaths

ACKLEY

George Ackley, 83, of Missouri Valley, died Saturday, May 19, at the Help for Health Hospice Home in Riverton. Mr. Ackley was a technical specialist for the U.S. government and served in the U.S. Navy. According to his wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home.

BESSLER

Longtime Powell area resident, Raymond John Bessler, 83, died Sunday, May 13, at the Powell Valley Care Center. He was the father of Mike Bessler of Shoshoni. Funeral services were Friday, May 18, at St. Barbara's Catholic Church in Powell.

GAUDERN

Jack E. Gaudern Sr., 91, of Shoshoni, died Friday, May 18, at the Help for Health Hospice Home in Riverton. Cremation has taken place. The family will have no service at this time, and arrangements for a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Help for Health Hospice. A. Rex Rogers, 80, died Monday, May 21, at his home in Riverton. Memorial services are at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 26, at the Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Hill of Pavillion officiating. Dean Rowan, 62, of Rawlins, formerly of Lander and Fort Washakie, died Wednesday, May 23, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. Arrangements are pending through the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton.

Thomas E. "Rusty" Sparks, 54, died Sunday, May 20, at his home in Lander after a long battle with cancer. Funeral services are at 3 p.m. Friday, May 25, at Hudson's Funeral Home in Lander. Emergency calls

In Riverton police reports from Wednesday to Thursday morning:

At 2:56 p.m. on Wednesday, Jason Antelope, 28, of Riverton, was arrested for shoplifting at Wal-Mart.

Denise Piper, 29, of Ethete, was arrested for contempt of court and failure to appear. The arrest occurred at 6 p.m. on Wednesday in the 2100 block of West Sunset Drive.

At 12:04 a.m. on Thursday, officers responded to the Boot Bar on East Main Street regarding a fight between two females.

RPD Capt. Eric Murphy said one of the females was transported by ambulance to Riverton Memorial Hospital for injuries.

The women refused to press charges against one another, Murphy said.

At 1:29 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the Dairy Queen on Federal Boulevard concerning an embezzlement report. No arrests were made as of Thursday morning, and the case remains under investigation.

In Fremont County Sheriff's reports from Wednesday to Thursday morning:

Adele Gutierrez, 34, of Riverton, was arrested for contempt of court and two probation revocation warrants.

During the same time frame, ambulance crews were called out 19 times and firefighters were not dispatched.

Wall Street

In early afternoon trading, the Dow Jones Industrial average was down 64.14 points, or 0.51 percent, to 12,432.01.

The Nasdaq composite index read 2,824.11, down 26.01 points or 0.91 percent.

The Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 7.08 points or 0.54 percent, to 1,311.78.
