Former Riverton resident Martha Atherley, 82, died Tuesday, May 22, at the Life Care Center of Littleton, Colo. Military graveside honors for Charles F. "Pete" Peterson, 94, of rural Dubois, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at the Dubois Cemetery. Graveside services for former Riverton resident Esther L. Wicker are at 1 p.m. Friday, June 1, at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton. Mrs. Wicker, 79, died Sunday, Dec. 25, at her home in Robert Lee, Texas, following a long battle with cancer. Cremation has taken place. Strength and Flexibility/Fitness Class is at 6 p.m. at Riverton Branch Library, 1330 W. Park, Riverton. This free event is part of National Physical Fitness and Sports Month at the library.

Public Meeting on Longterm Water Option is 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Wind River High School, Pavillion. Gov. Matt Mead and the Director of the Wyoming Water Development Office Mike Purcell will discuss a possible plan for supplying water to residents outside of Pavillion in Fremont County.

Zumba Fitness Class is at 7 p.m. at Riverton Branch Library, 1330 W. Park, Riverton. This free event is part of National Physical Fitness and Sports Month at the library.


Fremont County Spring Spectacular is at the Fremont County Fairplex, 1010 Fairgrounds Road, Riverton. Shows include market beef, breeding beef, market goats, market lambs and market swine. Showmanship will be June 2; more than $5,500 guaranteed. Campground space is available, there will be concessions, a carnival and youth rodeo. Bedding is also available. Red Desert Tours, promoted by the Wyoming Association of Churches, is 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and meets at the rest station opposite Oregon Buttes near the Sweetwater River on Highway 28. The itinerary includes the Continental Divide at Oregon Buttes, an overlook of the Great Divide Basin, the Honeycombs, Alkali Rim, Chicken Springs, Steamboat Mountain, the Sand Dunes and the Boar's Tusk. Vehicles should have a high clearance for some of the roads that will be taken. A $5 donation would be appreciated. Advance registration is needed. Emergency calls

In Riverton police reports from Tuesday to Wednesday morning:

- At 8:36 a.m. on Tuesday in the 300 block of North Broadway Avenue, Tommy Schatza, 37, of Riverton, was arrested for probation revocation.

- RPD Capt. Eric Murphy said three juvenile females were cited for disorderly conduct after fighting at Dairy Queen on North Federal Boulevard because of some posts on Facebook. The incident was reported at 8:44 p.m. on Tuesday.

In Fremont County Sheriff's reports from Tuesday to Wednesday:

- Michael Austin, 37, of Riverton, was arrested for probation revocation.

- Jordan Wheeler, 33, of Lander, was arrested for contempt of court and probation revocation.

- During the same time period, ambulance crews were dispatched nine times and firefighters were called out four times.
