Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo., is seeking college students and recent graduates interested in experiencing the federal government's legislative branch firsthand to apply for fall-term internships. Chosen applicants will spend four months in the nation's Capitol, learning the legislative process, attending briefings and committee hearings, interacting one-on-one with Wyoming constituents and providing private tours of the landmark building. "This is a great opportunity to see the behind the scenes of how Congress works," Lummis said in a statement. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply through Lummis's website at lummis.house.gov/ConstituentServices/Internships.htm. Applicants will need to supply a current resume, cover letter and writing sample for consideration. All chosen applicants will receive a monthly stipend for living expenses.
