Jun 13, 2012 - StaffVivian F. Huff, 94, died Friday, June 8, 2012, at her home in Lander where she lived with her husband, son and daughter-in-law.
Graveside services and burial will be Thursday, June 14, at Arlington Memorial Park in Atlanta, Ga.
Vivian Foster was born May 21, 1918, in Atlanta, Ga., the daughter of Celestia and Leslie Foster. She attended Spring Street Elementary School, Washington Seminary and Girl's High in Atlanta.
She attended the University of Georgia and graduated with a degree in English in 1940. A member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority, she served as president her senior year.
She married Howard Huff in 1940.
She taught high school in Winterville, Ga.
Mrs. Huff worked in the family business, Huff Printing Company, for 35 years. The couple lived in Chamblee, Ga., for 55 years where they raised two sons, Jimmy and Andy. They moved to Lander in 2008 to be with their son and daughter-in-law.
Mrs. Huff is survived by her husband of 71 years, James Howard Huff; son Dr. Andrew Huff, and daughter-in-law, Rachel Huff, of Lander.
She was preceded in death by her son, Lt. James Huff, U.S. Navy.
