Recognition was appreciated, but some attributes were overstated

While I am grateful for the praise from my friends and co-workers, a few of the details mentioned in the advertisement that the hospital placed about me last week need correction.

I did not start the Royal Ambassador program. While I did work with several young men in that program, they have all moved on. I continue to mow lawns and help where I can, but these days it's just me.

While at times I have served as a deacon, trustee and teacher, I hold none of those positions currently.

Finally, I have helped to coach soccer, but it has been several years.

I hope and pray that God will continue to improve me so that I can be a positive influence in our community.
