Game warden commendedJun 19, 2012 - The Associated Press WORLAND -- A Worland game warden has been named officer of the year by two organizations. Matt Lentsch was named 2011 Wildlife Officer of the Year by both the Shikar Safari Club International and the Wyoming Game Wardens Association. The awards recognize his work in the field and his dedication to recruiting young hunters and anglers. Scott Werbelow is game warden coordinator for the Cody Region. He says Lentsch demonstrates an outstanding commitment to wildlife and has taken a special interest in inspiring area youth to continue Wyoming's tradition of hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation. Lentsch started with the game department in 1989 and was appointed to the Worland game warden position in 1992. |
