Two more applying for District 25 seat

Jun 21, 2012 - By Carolyn B. Tyler, Staff Writer

Ted Ray, Scott Morrow have filed

Two additional filings Thursday morning bring to five the number of candidates for appointment to the Riverton District 25 Board of Education.

Latest to file letters of interest are Ted Ray and Scott Morrow.

Previously filing were Lynette Jeffres, Randy Tucker, and L. Greg Ashdown.

Deadline for filing was 4 p.m. Thursday, June 21, in the office of the superintendent of School District 25 on North 5th West in Riverton.

Incumbent members of the Riverton school board will interview those who have indicated an interest in the board position and make the appointment, perhaps as soon as the June 26 board meeting.

The appointee will fill out the term of Bill Russell, eight-year board member who is resigning because he is moving to Casper.

The appointed term will run from July 1 to Dec. 1, with the appointee eligible to run for the four-year seat to be elected in November.
