Riverton native Larry Keith Annan, 69, of Thermopolis, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper because of medical complications.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at Mortimore Funeral Home in Thermopolis. Officiating will be Peggy Annan of Riverton. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton.
Visitation will be Wednesday in Thermopolis.
Born Jan. 27, 1943, in Riverton, he was the son of Keith Leonell and Lois (Davis) Annan.
He started driving a truck to haul logs at the age of 16 and graduated from Dubois High School in 1961. He later drove truck in the oil fields until retiring at the age of 54 because of ill health.
On June 1, 1963, he married Judy Thorton in Big Piney. Four children were born to this union. The family lived in various places throughout Wyoming, including Cody, Shoshoni, Big Piney, LaBarge and Riverton. The couple moved to Thermopolis in 1998.
His family said Mr. Annan liked to do woodwork and read. When he was younger, they said he enjoyed playing the trumpet, banjo and harmonica.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Judy Annan of Thermopolis; his father, Keith of Thermopolis; son Kenny of Eagle River, Alaska; daughters Kelly Burr and husband Terry and Kim Boss and husband Lee, all of Thermopolis; brothers Lonnie Annan and wife Vicki of Berthoud, Colo., and Patrick Annan and wife Peggy of Broken Arrow, Okla.; sisters Sandra Willford and husband Teense of Saratoga and Mickey Anderson and husband Charlie of Riverton and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Annan; sister Karen Hunt and mother Lois Annan.
Funeral arrangements were by Mortimore Funeral Home, 620 Arapahoe, Thermopolis, WY 82443.
