Clifford LeRoy Williams, 78, died July 4, 2012. A graveside service with military honors has been scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, July 13, at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Lander.
Clifford Williams was born Nov. 17, 1934, in Riverton to Milo LeRoy Williams and Grace Lily Deimer Williams.
He grew up in the Arapahoe area, started school in the Arapahoe School and later graduated from Lander Valley High School. After graduation he was a sheep herder, and then entered into the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was stationed in Japan and Hawaii.
Mr. Williams married Joyce A. Goich in 1960, and they had two children, Rick and Angela. He and Joyce later divorced.
He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Wounded Warrior Project and Paralyzed Veterans of America.
Mr. Williams is survived by his daughter, Angela Williams and her partner Taffi Fernsemer of Riverton; stepdaughters Dixie Pacheco of Rawlins and Charon Meyers of Lander; grandsons Rick L. Williams and Clifford J. Williams both of Lander; sister Nina and her husband Wainwright Gustin of Lander; brother Glen and his wife Verna Williams of Casper; nephews Clifford W. Gustin of Lander, Gerald G. Gustin of Lander and Glen Williams Jr. of Casper; niece Vicki Williams of Casper; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ricky and his wife Catherine Ann LeRoy Williams who both died in an accident; parents Milo and Grace Williams; grandparents Henry and Lily Deimer; uncle Marshall Deimer; and aunt Nina Parker.
Memorials may be made to the military service organization of the donator's choosing.
