A daughter was born to Codi and Beau Jarvis, of Shoshoni, at 5:18 a.m. April 9, 2012, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce.
A daughter was born to Carolyn and Charles Jenks, of Riverton, at 7:51 a.m. May 24, 2012, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces.
A daughter was born to Jenny and Gabe Joyes, of Lander, at 3:56 p.m. May 8, 2012, at Lander Regional Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces.
Norma Jean Enos, 63, of Fort Washakie, died Saturday, July 7, in the Morning Star Manor, Fort Washakie. She was born Aug. 24, 1948. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Morning Star Manor, Fort Washakie.
Lois H Hughes, 83, of Riverton, died Tuesday, July 10, at Westward Heights. Graveside services are set for 10 a.m. Friday, July 13, at Mountain View Cemetery.
Jerome Hayes Oldman Sr., 63, of Fort Washakie, died Monday, July 9, at University Hospital of Utah. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 12, at St. Stephens Catholic Church. A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, at Rose Oldman's Home, 460 Little Wind River Bottom Road, with a wake to follow. Burial will be at Oldman Cemetery in Arapahoe.
Longtime Riverton resident Carolyn B. Tyler, 77, died Tuesday, July 10. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Monday, July 16, at Riverton United Methodist Church. Burial of cremated remains follows at Mountain View Cemetery of Riverton. Services are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton.

Rails to Trails Music on the River Walk is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the path between Monroe and Pershing avenues in Riverton. In Riverton police reports from Tuesday to Wednesday morning:
- Thomas Brown, 40, of Arapahoe, was arrested for a federal warrant (released into custody of the US Marshals and FBI).
- Delight Sunrhodes, 28, of Riverton, was arrested for a Fremont County warrant.
- Edward Thomas, 69, of Kinnear, was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI).
In Fremont County Sheriff's reports from Tuesday to Wednesday morning:
- David Burt, 22, of Riverton, was arrested for contempt of court.
- Ashley Laforme, 23, of Riverton, was arrested for DUI.
- During the same time period, ambulance crews were dispatched eight times and firefighters responded to three calls.
- At 4:26 p.m. on Tuesday, firefighters were dispatched to a wildfire near the uranium mine on the west side of Green Mountain.
Fire crews from Jeffrey City and the Bureau of Land Management responded to the incident. BLM assistant engine foreman Sam Bruner said his agency sent two engines, a chase truck and a five-person unit to the fire.
He said lightning caused the blaze. Firefighters remained on scene Wednesday morning. He was unsure how large the fire grew, but expected to have more information Wednesday afternoon.
