LaJEUNESSE-WARREN

A son was born to Anita LaJeunesse, of Fort Washakie, and Gerald Warren, of Riverton, at 9:40 a.m. May 10, 2012, Lander Regional Hospital. He weighed 6 pounds, 4 ounces.

Deaths

JENNINGS

Shirley Ann (Hascall) Jennings, 76, died Saturday, July 7, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at the Word of Faith Family Church in Lander. Internment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Lander.

JOHNSON

Donald Johnson, 74, a longtime resident of Lander, died Monday, July 9, at Manning Regional Healthcare Center in Manning, Iowa. There will be a memorial service at a later date at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Lander.

RAWDON

Edna Jean "Peggy" Rawdon, 94, of Riverton, died Wednesday, July 11, at hospice care in Casper. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, July 16, at Davis Funeral Home in Riverton.

TASSITSIE

Valorena Delorne Tassitsie, 72, of Fort Washakie, died Friday, July 6, at the Morning Star Manor in Fort Washakie. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 13, at the Rocky Mountain Hall in Fort Washakie. Visitation will be 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 12, at the Chapel of Mount Hope, Hudson's Funeral Home in Lander. Burial will take place at the Sacajawea cemetery in Fort Washakie. Services are under the direction of Hudson's Funeral Home of Lander.

JULY 14

Gold Rush Days is at the South Pass City State Historic Site, 125 South Pass Main St., South Pass City. This event celebrates life in a western gold camp and includes vintage baseball, gold panning, stamp mill demonstrations, printing press demonstrations, live music and fireworks.

Day in the Park is 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Riverton City Park. Event is part of Riverton Rendezvous.

Annual July Craft Fair and Business Expo is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Margaret's Gym, Riverton.

Boysen Cache Dash is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Boysen State Park headquarters. Children will learn how to use a GPS to find a geo cache. Event is free.

Dubois Friends of the Library Book Fair is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dubois Library, 202 N. First St. For more information, call 455-2992.

Demo Derby is at 7 p.m. at the Fremont County Fairgrounds, 705 Fairgrounds Road, Riverton. Event is part of Riverton Rendezvous.

Emergency calls

In Riverton police reports from Wednesday to Thursday morning:

- Robert Brillhart, 23, of Riverton, was arrested for municipal warrants.

In Fremont County Sheriff's reports from Wednesday to Thursday morning:

- Lonnie Reaves, 59, of Lander, was arrested for bond revocation.

- Cody Sikes, 22, of Rock Springs, was arrested for probation revocation.

- During the same time period, ambulance crews responded to 17 calls and firefighters were dispatched three times.

- A Bureau of Land Management official reported the fire that started by lightning Tuesday afternoon on Green Mountain has been contained. BLM assistant engine foreman Sam Bruner said the blaze burned two-tenths of acre after it was reported to authorities at about 4:30 p.m. on July 10. The fire, which Bruner said is being called the Anaconda Fire, occurred on the west side of the mountain near the uranium mine.
