Jul 15, 2012 - StaffThe annual array of summertime fund known as Riverton Rendezvous is beginning its fourth decade this month, but the festivities were just five years old when this picture appeared.
Lander-based artist Audrey Preissler set up shop at Rendezvous Day in the Park with an array of her paintings for sale, but also to render quick sketches of park visitors.
The subjects would site for a few minutes at Preissler's booth, and she would produce the sketches in a couple of minutes. Her media were pencil and paper.
Preissler's work is displayed permanently at the Robert A. Peck Arts Center Gallery, part of a tribute to a longtime arts center director, the late Tonia Burnette. The display featuring Preissler's painting is near the far-right entrance to the theater auditorium.
