Jul 29, 2012 - From staff reportsThe Wyoming Department of Agriculture will host two public meetings in central Wyoming that will address the agriculture industry and the current drought and fire conditions throughout the state.
Producers, legislators, industry groups and more have been invited to participate in the meetings in each of the locations that will focus on two main goals.
The first goal is informing attendees about drought conditions and fire issues throughout the state along with information pertaining to disaster assistance program status and requirements.
The second goal is garnering input on how the Wyoming Department of Agriculture can best serve producers.
The first meeting will be held in Rock Springs at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 30, in the Grace Grasson Room at the White Mountain Library in Rock Springs. The library is located at 2935 Sweetwater Drive.
The second meeting will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 8, in Thermopolis at the Big Horn Federal Bank. The bank is at the corner of Broadway and Seventh in Thermopolis.
Organizers request that attendees do not park on the west side of the building. Parking is available between Car Quest and the bank.
