Margaret Bushyhead-Washington

Margaret Bushyhead-Washing-ton, 65, of Arapahoe, died Saturday, July 28, 2012, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.

A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at St. Stephens Catholic Church with a wake to follow at 1503 Elmwood Drive. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, with burial to follow at the Bushyhead Cemetery.

Margaret Ann Bushyhead was born Sept. 1, 1946, in Riverton to James Joseph Bushyhead and Theresa Marie (Goodman) Bushyhead. She was raised on the Wind River Reservation and lived there her entire life, except when she went to Fort Sill Boarding School.

Margaret married Francis J. Washington in Riverton. She was a homemaker. Margaret was Catholic and was a member of the Native American Church faith.

Her family said she enjoyed being with family and friends, watching LMN, traveling and playing bingo.

Survivors include her husband, Francis Washington; sons Mitchell Stacey, James Gardner Sr., Marcus Gardner Sr., Mathew Charging Crow and Jude Charging Crow; daughter Serena Gardner; grandchildren Selesia Stacey, Michelle Stacey-Bruce, Anna Stacey, Latasha Stacey, Marlise Stacey, Denett Jimmie, James Gardener Jr., Autumn Behan, Angel Gardner, Shanoah Gardner, McCain Gardner, Marcinda Gardner, Marcus Garner Jr., Tristan Gardner, Maurice Gardner, Sonay Brown, Aspen Bell, Shawn Gardner and Tashalia Nez; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers John M., Mervin, Joseph, Peter and Stanford Bushyhead and Jude Charging Crow Sr. and John "Slugo" Addison; sisters Francis Dewey, Madeline Spoonhunter, Helen Talks Different, Barbara Pereah, Sarah Black and Ruth Biglake; aunt Helen Hanway; nieces Theresa Bushyhead, Kristina Bushyhead, Anna Whiteplume, Cynthia Littleshield, Samantha Littleshield, Michelle Littleshield, Jonetta Seminole, Suzette Seminole, Elizabeth Goodman, Arlene Goodman and Brenda Goodman; nephews Thomas Bushyhead, John Bushyhead Jr., Charles Bushyhead, Stanford Bushyhead Jr., Steven Bushyhead, Melvin Littleshield Jr., Darrel Goodman, James Goodman Sr., Steven Seminole and Burdick Seminole Sr.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Joseph and Peter Bushyhead, John, George, Robert, Linus, Rosemary, Lucilla Dewey, John Goodman, Margaret Mary Littleshield, Michael Bushyhead, Saraka Bushyhead (Jenkins), Margaret Goodman (Friday), Joann Birdshead, Flora Dewey, Elizabeth C'Bearing, Susie Addison, Charles Goodman, Michael Stacey, Eluxis Gardner, Joelene Bushyhead and Michael Bushyhead.

Services are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home (www.theDavisFuneralHome.com) of Riverton.
