A daughter was born to Jill Neville, of Yelm, Wash., and Joe Atkin, of Lander, at 3:05 p.m. July 28, 2012, at Lander Regional Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces.
A son was born to Kris Berg and Randy S. Edgeington, of Riverton, at 10:22 a.m. July 18, 2012, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. He weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces.
A son was born to Rashelle Foos and Charlie Gemkow, of Riverton, at 9:55 a.m. July 24, 2012, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. He weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces.
A son was born to Anjelicia Addison, of Ethete, and Raymundo Hernandez-Curiel, of Rawlins, April 12, 2012, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. He weighed 5 pounds, 2 ounces.
Julian P. Reed, 86, the father of Lander residents Donald Reed and Juleann Reed, died July 30, 2012, at Care Source Hospice in Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at the Fort Duchesne gym, Fort Duchesne, Utah. A wake will be after 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, at the gym as well. Burial will be in the Reed Cemetery in Farmcreek with military honors by the Veterans of Foreign War.
Archaeology with Altitude Gala is in Dubois. Join the University of Wyoming's Frison Institute and the Dubois Museum in a daylong fundraising celebration of cutting-edge high altitude archaeology. The day's festivities include a hands-on workshop on hunting of prehistoric animals and a tour of teepee rings. In the evening, come to the Headwaters for an evening of Wyoming elegance with a banquet catered by PayŠ, followed by archaeologist Dr. Jason LaBelle, director of the Center for Mountain and Plains Archaeology and president of the Colorado Archaeological Society. Motorcycle Poker Run is 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Longhorn Ranch Motel, RV and Campground, 5810 U.S. 26, Dubois. There will be a barbecue at the end of the poker run, serving burgers, brats and beans, beer and music. The public is welcome. Half of the proceeds will benefit the Chance Phelps Foundation. - Michael Muije, 51, of Rock Springs, was arrested for a Sweetwater County warrant.
- Charlie Whiteman, 35, of Arapahoe, was arrested for shoplifting and possession of marijuana.
In Fremont County Sheriff's reports from Wednesday to Thursday morning:
- Katrina Garwood, 51, of Dubois, was arrested for driving under the influence.
- During the same time period, ambulance crews were dispatched 14 times and firefighters responded to five calls for service.
