Deaths

ELLERBY

Louise "Gigi" Marie Ellerby, 79, formerly of Lander, died Friday, July 20, 2012, while surrounded by loved ones after battling cancer for several years. Private services will be at a later date.

REED

Larry O. Reed, 69, of Riverton, died Friday, July 27, at his home. Cremation has taken place, and no services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton.

SHELDEN

Helena Evelyn Shelden, 85, of Lander, died Aug. 7, 2012, at the Help for Health Hospice in Riverton. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 875 Fremont, Lander. A graveside service will also be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Harrison, Helena, Mont.

TROSPER

Gregory Bruce Trosper Sr., 38, of Ethete, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, in his home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at the Wyoming Indian Elementary School under the direction of the Hudson's Funeral Home of Lander. An evening service will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, also at the Wyoming Indian Elementary School with a wake to follow at the home of Merton Trosper, 124 Trosper Lane, Ethete.

AUG. 12

Exploring Rock Creek is Aug. 11 to Aug. 12. The WWA will be teaming up with the Tom Allen family to explore the most primitive and inspiring parts of Rock Creek recommended wilderness. Tom, who passed away in 2011, was a longtime Wilderness advocate and early explorer of Rock Creek recommended wilderness. On this off-trail, overnight adventure, participants will attempt to find the locations of the amazing Rock Creek photographs taken by Tom Allen in the early 1970s. Riverton High School Class of 1977 Reunion/Get Together is Aug. 11 to Aug. 12. The group is planning to play golf Saturday and have a possible lake outing in the afternoon. For more information contact rblumenshine@jfsato.com.

Seventeenth Annual Dubois Quilt Festival is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Headwaters Arts & Conference Center, 20 Stalnaker St., Dubois. Last year's festival featured more than 140 quilt art pieces. AUG. 13

Good Sams Meeting and Dinner is at 5 p.m. at Archer's Buffet and Grill, 400 N. Federal Blvd., Riverton. The group will be planning for a campout at the Medicine Wheel in Hyattville. Everyone is welcome to come and see what the group is about.

AUG. 14

Emergency calls

In Riverton police reports from Thursday to Friday morning:

- Rupert Brown, 34, of Riverton, was arrested for public intoxication.

In Fremont County Sheriff's reports from Thursday to Friday morning:

- Michael Mathews, 29, of Riverton, was arrested for interference with police.

- During the same time period, ambulance crews responded to 13 calls for service and firefighters were dispatched twice.
