The 100th Wyoming State Fair opened Saturday in Douglas. August has long been the month of the state fair, complete with the expected array of beef cattle, lambs, poultry, rabbits, fruit and vegetables, and homemade clothing and crafts.

In early days, however, the fair also had other competitions, and these two Fremont County girls were part of them.
