Feb 20, 2012 - By Randy Tucker Sports WriterThe Dubois Rams locked up the third seed out of the Class 1-A Northwest with a doubling-up of Meeteetse 64-32 Friday night at home.R00;
The win moves the Rams to 4-4 in league play and 8-9 overall.
Dubois will face Cokeville at 2 p.m. Thursday at the fieldhouse in Lander. The Rams beat the Panthers 59-35 at home back in December and were scheduled to play again, but a blizzard cancelled the game.
Meeteetse didn't exactly light up the scoreboard Friday night. The Longhorns suffered dismally from the floor, hitting only two of 30 attempts in the first half and trailing the Rams 30-7 at the half.
A season highlight came in the third period as Kyle Tea broke up the floor on a fast break. Ty Finley trailed the play and signaled Tea to set the ball in front of the rim. Tea placed the ball perfectly and Finley leapt high in the air, caught the ball with both hands and slammed it down for a dunk.
The play brought the crowd to its feet and signaled the exit of the Dubois varsity from the floor in the third period.
