Arapahoe and Fort Washakie get more school board hopefuls

With a little more than a week remaining until the filing period closes for various seats on school boards, and fire, cemetery and conservation districts, candidates continue to submit applications for the positions that will appear on the November general election ballot.
As of 1 p.m. on Friday, four more people had filed for Fremont County School District 38 Board of Education in Arapahoe. They are Theodore Lionel Bell, Michael Redman, Brian Williams Sr. and Margret "Margo" Williams. They join Arlo "Skeeter" Moss, Maxine Moss, Preston Moss and incumbent John Goggles in the race for two opening seats.
Current School District 21 board chairman Tex LeClair submitted his application Thursday in the Fort Washakie contest. There are three seats up on the board this year.
Another incumbent filed for re-election to the School District 24 board in Shoshoni. Trustee Kelly Gardner submitted his application on Thursday, joining fellow trustee Teffany Fegler. There are three spots opening on the board.
Another race to see applications filed is for the Dubois Fire District Sub-district 4 director spot. Candidates are current board members Reg Phillips and Larry Wilke.
James "J.W." Hendry and incumbent Gavin Woody filed for rural supervisor of the Lower Wind River Conservation District. The two join incumbent Rod Rivers in the race for two opening seats.
Lyle Alexander is seeking re-election as rural supervisor of the Dubois/Crowheart Conservation District. There are two spots on the board up this election.
Candidates have until Monday, Aug. 27 to file for office.
