Aug 24, 2012 - From staff reportsThe Fremont County Coroner released the name of the 19-year-old man who died Saturday, Aug. 18, in Casper after reportedly being involved in a hit-and-run accident at about 3 a.m. Saturday on Trout Creek Road.
Coroner Ed McAuslan said the man, Enrique Chavez, died of blunt force trauma from the crash. Chavez, who McAuslan believes is from the Fort Washakie area, was transported to Lander Regional Hospital, then flown to the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, where he died.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and Bureau of Indian Affairs will investigate along with the Fremont County Coroner.
