Esther Haun, of Riverton, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at Westward Heights Nursing Home in Lander. She was 96 years old.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Pastor Dave Magruder officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. A viewing will be 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, at Davis Funeral Home.
Esther Haun was born Aug. 23, 1915, to Henry and Elizabeth (Weinmaster) Eichorn in Windsor, Colo.
She grew up in Scottsbluff, Neb., and Torrington and married her first husband, John Phillip Heinrich, near Mitchell, Neb., on Jan. 20, 1935. They had three daughters.
Mr. Heinrich died Sept. 8, 1961. Esther married Henry Haun Aug. 24,1963, in Riverton, and they were married for almost 43 years until Mr. Haun died June 25, 2006.
Mrs. Haun was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Her family said she enjoyed country music, flowers, reading, crocheting, making beautiful dollies and gardening. She was a homemaker and helped her husband, Henry, with his registered Hereford bulls.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Lafferty and her husband John of Grand Junction, Colo., Beverly Shay and her husband Norman of Laurel, Colo., and Susan Johnson of Riverton; grandchildren Toni Forest, Jonie McKelvie, Darrel Taylor, Mike Lafferty, Lisa A. Berkland, Brandi Johnson and Brian Johnson; sisters Barbara, Shirley, Bonnie and Ella; and sister-in-law Kay.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; four brothers; a sister; granddaughter Lisa K. Vogelsang; and grandson Greg Vogelsang.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton.
