Sep 5, 2012 - StaffShawn M. Brogdon, of Riverton, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. He was 25 years old.
Celebration of Life services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, at St. Margaret's Gymnasium. There will be a viewing from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Davis Funeral Home.
Shawn Miller Brogdon was born Sept. 12, 1986, in Riverton to Jerry Miller Brogdon and Patty Arlene (Brown) Brogdon. He graduated from Riverton High School in 2005 and attended college at Dickinson State University where he played baseball. He worked at Weatherford for its wire line division.
His family said he enjoyed all sports, hunting, fishing, boating, four wheeling, playing video games and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his parents; grandparents Peggy Knight and Earl Shaw of Riverton and Tom and Grace Brown of Menoken, N.D., and Jerry Knight of Colorado; sister Courtney (Brogdon) Smith and her husband Adam; niece Alora Smith; uncle Tim Brown and his wife Charlene of Pinedale; aunts Tammy Inman and her husband Tracy of Moorcroft, Carolyn Smith and her husband Glenn of Riverton and Barbara Stringer of Casper; cousins Taylor Inman of Moorcroft, Lance Smith of Riverton, Flint Smith and his wife Jennifer of Casper, Eutana Smith of Riverton, Terry Brogdon and his wife Cindy of Colorado, Steve Clingman and his wife Lori of Montana, Jerry Clingman and his wife Kashia of Casper, Carolyn Canaday and her husband Shawn of Casper; special friend Whitney Ballard of Riverton; and numerous extended family in Douglas and Montana.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Betty and Miller Brogdon and George Lawson; uncle Tyrey Thomas Brown; and cousin Lee Clingman.
