CASPER -- Thirty-six people have applied to be Wyoming's next state oil and gas supervisor.

The oil and gas supervisor oversees oil and gas development in the state by being the person in charge of the Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.

Interim supervisor Bob King says 13 applicants hold professional licenses, such as in petroleum engineering.
